Behind the main gripping area, triple ring cuts with varying width similar to the cuts that were applied to the Gomez Type 10 are used. Furthermore, by adding taper towards the centre near the ring cut, this provides for a clean release of the darts.

In addition, at the gripping area, two levels of taper were applied behind the balance point. The taper not only does it make it easier to complete the grip but it also makes it easier to throw and control the dart.

Although the front of the barrel is unique in its shape, the 3 indents that were applied allows for different preference in placing the remaining fingers to stabilize and complete the grip.

A torpedo barrel that closely resembles a straight barrel was produced because Hikaru Kakizaki competes in both steel and soft tip. The concept of the barrel was designed with both in mind.
