While keeping the concept the same, changes were made to include an aggressive cut in the Type 2.

Even with a light grip, the cuts of the barrel will allow for an ease of throw..As Takayuki Masatsu grips the dart near the center of the barrel, minor modifications were made near the back of the barrel to widen the distance between the double ring cuts.
To increase propulsion and stability in the grip, the width of the vertical cuts were widened and applied throughout the barrel. While maintaining the length and maximum diameter the same, both steel and soft tip models increased its weight by 1g to allow for an aggressive throw.

With an aggressive cut in the Type 2, improvements were made to generate aggressive throws while allowing for precise control using minimal movements.
